Root to Rise: An Autumn Retreat with Alison Henning and Damaris Booth

Join Alison and Damaris for a weekend of grounding and centring yoga practices to create space within the body and mind. We will explore a wide spectrum of yoga practices from dynamic asana, restorative yoga, pranayama, meditation and yoga nidra. All sessions are optional and there will be chances to explore the beautiful surrounding countryside. There will also be a celebratory bonfire on the Saturday evening! All levels of practice will be catered for but the retreat is not suitable for complete beginners. A supportive and uplifting space will be held for participants to explore their yoga practice with ample opportunities to rest and relax completely. Travel
Gayles is situated off the A259, mid-way between Eastbourne and Seaford and about one mile from the village of East Dean. For those coming by public transport, Eastbourne is the nearest station, from Eastbourne it is a 15-20 minute bus journey or a £10 taxi-ride. Full travel details are available on the retreat website. Gayles
Gayles is a small, but perfectly formed, retreat centre ideally situated in outstanding countryside on the South Downs in the South East of England, five miles from Eastbourne and fifteen from Brighton. It is surrounded by extraordinarily beautiful countryside with plenty of walking opportunities. There is a wonderful light, large studio to practice in, purposefully restored from an old cowshed! www.retreattogayles.co.uk Accommodation Accommodation is in single-sex dormitories with shared bathrooms. There are bunk beds and single beds. There is a private room available for either a single or a couple (a supplement will be charged). Meals Freshly prepared, delicious and wholesome vegetarian meals will be provided – from dinner on Friday evening to lunch on Sunday. A variety of teas (and coffee) are always available, as is fresh fruit. Herbal teas and honey are also on hand in the dormitories.
